ABBOTT JOINS KLJ AS AVIATION MARKET MANAGER

Colorado is a land of unparalleled natural beauty and can-do, adventurous people – just the kind of place we are proud to call home. With 74 public-use airports, including one seaplane base, Colorado also historically boasts a robust aviation economy. KLJ Engineering is proud to welcome Dana Abbott as our newest aviation market manager. Abbott will work from the Company’s Englewood, CO location. In this role, she is responsible for developing strategy to enhance opportunity with new and existing clients.

Abbott has passion for aviation, as she is an avid recreational pilot with more than 300 hours in both fixed wing and rotorcraft. Abbott joins KLJ with a strong background in management and customer relations, as well as business development and strategic planning. She earned her MBA from Western Governors University and a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Justice from Central Washington University. Along with her educational credentials, she is also a certified Six Sigma Green Belt.

Prior to joining KLJ, Abbott’s experience included a long career in aerospace, having held positions as an Aerospace Program Manager, Customer Service Manager for an international inside sales team for Boeing tooling and aircraft ground support equipment, and Marketing and Sales Manager specializing in aircraft lavatory and water/waste systems. In her most recent role, she was the customer focal for Pratt & Whitney and led business negotiations and production actions for the F-135 Military Program. She also acted as a project manager for cross-functional initiatives throughout the entire life cycle of engineering and production activities to ensure the needs of the customer were always exceeded. KLJ is excited about the growth within our aviation sector and confident she will bring the same diligence and passion for aviation to help us deliver on our promise of an exceptional customer experience.
