The city of Bismarck, ND continues to grow, particularly quickly on the north end of town. This rapid residential and commercial development created the need for improvements to 43rd Avenue NE, which was located near our Bismarck office. The project consisted of reconstructing, and widening approximately 1 mile of 43rd Avenue NE from North Washington Street to State Street

Minnesota Trunk Highway 149

KLJ transformed a traditional mill and overlay project for a 6.5-mile segment of Trunk Highway 149 and transformed it using a Complete Streets approach complete with ADA-compliant features. Our team incorporated traffic calming measures and implemented enhanced features for pedestrians and bicyclists, making travel along the corridor safer and more effective for all users.

Core and Rail Redevelopment

$25 MM long-term transformational project completed in partnership with the City of Kalispell, Flathead County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA), Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railway, Watco, CHS Inc, US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Brownfields, US Economic Development Administration (USEDA), and the US Department of Transportation (DOT), with all partners committing funds to the project, in addition to significant investment from private enterprises.

Front Street Improvements
