Daniel Fife Earns CFM National Certification
KLJ Engineering is pleased to announce Daniel Fife recently earned his national certification as a Certified Floodplain Manager from the Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM).
The ASFPM established its Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) program in 1998 to standardize professional competence in floodplain management. This certification process requires candidates to pass a rigorous exam and complete annual continuing education credits to maintain their certification. The program emphasizes ongoing professional development, recognizing the ever-evolving nature of floodplain management, and the need for professionals to stay current with industry changes.
Fife is a civil engineer with KLJ’s Transportation Hydraulics group. He has more than five years of experience specializing in water resources engineering, hydrology, hydraulics modeling, and analysis. His expertise includes drainage system and facility design, roadway design, and quality control. He is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and The Association of State Floodplain Managers, reflecting his commitment to professional development and staying current with industry standards. He earned his master’s in civil engineering from the University of North Dakota.
