ENR Mountain States Names Bittner Among 2020 Top Young Professionals

Engineer News-Record (ENR) Mountain States released this year’s winners of their annual Top Young Professionals competition yesterday. We are pleased to announce that KLJ’s Mike Bittner was among this year’s 20 regional honorees.

Bittner has been with engineering firm, KLJ since 2010 and serves as the senior traffic advisor in our West Fargo, ND office. He has conducted numerous transportation planning studies, including corridor studies, traffic impact analysis studies, parking studies, traffic operation reports, and comprehensive planning studies that have helped improve the lives of people across our nation. He has also served as a lead engineer for multiple signal design projects. Bittner is a registered professional engineer in 10 states and is a certified professional traffic operations engineer (PTOE), professional transportation planner (PTP), and project management professional (PMP). He received a master’s degree in civil engineering from North Dakota State University and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering – with a minor in mathematics – from the University of North Dakota.

The Mountain States region includes Colorado, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, Idaho, and Montana. The annual competition aims to recognize industry leaders under the age of 40.
