South Dakota Bridge Improvement Grants

South Dakota Department of Transportation has announced funding availability in the Bridge Improvement Grant (BIG) program. Funds may be utilized for on and off-system bridges for preliminary engineering, preservation, rehabilitation, or replacement.
Eligible Applicants: Counties in South Dakota that have imposed a wheel tax and that have a County Highway Bridge Improvement Plan detailing proposed county highway and bridge improvement projects in that county for the next five years
Award Floor: $30,000 (preservation projects); $100,000 (rehabilitation or replacement projects)
Award Ceiling: $4 million
Match: 20 percent
