PROJECT
Our team completed structural design of the 5-story apartment structure in east downtown Minneapolis. The design is modern, yet warm and inviting. The building was designed to provide beautiful views of the city with a rooftop terrace and features convenient underground parking in the metro area.
SOLUTION
KLJ completed the structural design, which includes an underground parking garage, a fitness center, and an outdoor rooftop lounge. The above-grade levels of the building were constructed with wood stud load-bearing walls, wood beams and columns, and pre-engineered wood roof and floor members. The stud-framed walls are supported on precast hollow-core plank and precast concrete columns supported by pad footings.
RESULTS
The apartment complex provides community members the opportunity to live in a vibrant, growing location close to the US Bank Stadium, multiple parks, and recreational attractions. The apartments can be viewed at https://aberdeenapartmentsmpls.com/.
