PROJECT
The project included installation of a new refined fuels pipeline totaling more than 400 miles in length partially within their existing pipeline right-of-way as well as along a new right-of-way corridor consisting of approximately 200 miles.
SOLUTION
KLJ was responsible for survey, environmental field studies consisting of wetland delineations, threatened and endangered species, raptors, migratory birds, cultural resource, tree and shrubs, and hydrology surveys. In addition, KLJ completed agency consultation and permitting including a Certificate of Corridor Compatibility and Route Permit for the North Dakota Public Service Commission, Section 404 and Section 10 permits, Montana Joint Application, Tree and Shrub Survey and Mitigation Plans and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans for compliance with Montana and North Dakota State and Federal agencies.
RESULTS
Refined petroleum products can be transported to communities with the least amount of environmental impact on the surrounding area.
