Field and Butcher Earn PE in Multiple Locations!

KLJ Engineering is proud to announce that Senior Project Manager Bryan Field recently earned his Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Dakota and Engineer McKenzie Butcher has earned her PE in North Dakota, South Dakota, and Colorado.

Field has 19 years of experience as a consultant, specializing in geotechnical engineering, focusing on principles of soil and rock mechanics for projects related to highways, bridges, retaining walls, embankments, ground improvement, pavements, utilities, ponds, and various other structure and building foundations.

Field is a member of the Minnesota Surveyors and Engineers Society (MSES), Deep Foundation Institute (DFI), and a board member for the Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) Upper Midwest Region. He is also a certified design-build professional. He earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN.

Butcher is an engineer in KLJ’s municipal team who focuses on potable water design and infrastructure. She has knowledge in water treatment facilities, water distribution, water modeling, booster stations, water storage, and construction. Butcher  has experience with developing and writing design memos, funding reports, providing construction management and construction administration services, and preparing plans and specifications.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City, SD.
