Jennie Krause Promoted to Practice Leader

KLJ Engineering is proud to announce that Jennie Krause, PE, will now serve as Practice Leader of the Company’s Engineering & Planning Services practice. As Practice Leader, Krause will focus on developing and implementing technical strategies that continue to position KLJ as a leader in delivering progressive, sustainable infrastructure.
Specifically, she will oversee the management and deployment of specialized engineering and planning capabilities across all of KLJ’s business lines and regions. These teams include KLJ’s Planning, Engagement, and Government Relations teams, the company’s Structural/Vertical and Water Resource teams, and KLJ’s Operations Planning & Performance team.
Krause has nearly two decades of engineering, project management, and business operations experience. Prior to this role, Krause served as the Director of the Operations Planning & Performance team, providing leadership, guidance, and support to business line leadership, project managers and internal teams – a role she will continue to serve in.
Krause is a licensed professional engineer in both North Dakota and Wyoming and earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. She was honored as the 2024 Engineer of the Year by the North Dakota Association of County Engineers (NDACE), where she also served as President of the Executive Committee. Krause contributed as an Advisory Member for the University of North Dakota’s Women in Leadership program and participated in the American Council of Engineering Companies of North Dakota (ACEC/ND) Emerging Leaders Institute, a three-year leadership development program. Her achievements have also been recognized nationally and regionally—she was named a Top Young Professional by Engineering News-Record (ENR) and is a past recipient of Prairie Business Magazine’s 40-Under-40 Award.
