KLJ Engineering Welcomes Rachel McFerrin

KLJ is pleased to welcome Rachel McFerrin as an operations leader. Based in Colorado, Rachel brings more than 20 years of experience helping engineering, infrastructure, and environmental consulting organizations strengthen operations, improve project delivery, and make more informed business decisions. 

Throughout her career, Rachel has led efforts to build and improve project management office and project controls programs, enhance forecasting and resource planning, and create reporting tools that give leaders clearer visibility into project and financial performance. She is passionate about aligning strategy, operations, and the people delivering the work; helping organizations turn complexity into clarity and priorities into results. 

Before joining KLJ, Rachel served in executive leadership roles focused on operations, strategic planning, portfolio governance, and organizational change. Her experience includes supporting municipal and infrastructure projects, improving profitability, streamlining workflows, and strengthening resource planning across growing teams. 

Rachel holds a Bachelor of Arts from California State University San Marcos and is currently pursuing an MBA through Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
