KLJ is pleased to welcome Kevin Groves as senior airport electrical engineer

KLJ is pleased to announce the addition of Kevin Groves, PE, as a senior airport electrical engineer.

Kevin joins KLJ with 29 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a strong focus on leadership, technical excellence, and client service. His background includes airport power systems, electrical safety, and specialized infrastructure, along with technical oversight and quality control. He has led engineering teams, managed complex electrical systems, and guided projects from concept through implementation across a range of infrastructure applications.  He is also a retired US Army Master Aviator flying both helicopters and airplanes during his career.  His pilot experience spans over 30 years, and he owns and maintains his own aircraft.

As a Professional Engineer licensed in 15 states, Kevin brings a rare and valuable specialty to KLJ’s aviation services. With in-house airport electrical engineering capabilities in high demand and limited supply across the industry, his addition to the team strengthens KLJ’s ability to expand its aviation capabilities and support clients with specialized airport electrical design and consulting needs.

“Kevin’s experience and specialized skillset make him an exceptional addition to our team,” said Shane Steiner, PE, associate vice president of aviation at KLJ. “His knowledge enhances our ability to serve airport clients and positions us for continued growth in this niche market.”

Keving holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and is based in South Dakota.
