KLJ Promotes Johnson to Chief People Officer

KLJ Engineering LLC (KLJ), is pleased to announce Emily Johnson has been promoted to Chief People Officer (CPO). “This is a new and exciting position for KLJ. In this role, Emily will help align key areas inside the company that share synergies. This alignment aims to create a holistic approach in supporting the company’s pursuit for enhanced growth and impact, both among our employees and in the communities in which we work and serve,” said Chief Executive Officer, Eric Michel.   

Johnson, who is located in KLJ’s Bismarck office, has been with KLJ for nearly 14 years, holding various leadership roles related to communications, marketing, and engagement. Most recently serving as senior vice president of Communications and Engagement – a role that oversaw the Company’s Marketing and Communications team. As CPO, she will be responsible for KLJ’s Human Resources/Talent Acquisition teams which includes key areas of employee relations, benefits, training, and development, in addition to continuing oversight of the company’s Marketing and Communications efforts.

Johnson earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and an MBA certificate in HR Management. Additionally, she earned her SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification. She is passionate about connecting people through communication and engagement.
