Long-time Transportation Professional Joins KLJ's St. Paul Office

KLJ Engineering LLC (KLJ) is proud to welcome influential transportation veteran, Mike Barnes, to the company. Based out of KLJ's St. Paul office, Barnes serves as Market Manager on the Transportation and Roadway team. He brings more than 37 years of engineering background and leadership expertise working at the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), the United State Army National Guard, and as an engineering consultant.

Barnes’ extensive knowledge serving as MnDOT’s Metro District Engineer furnishes him with immense insight working with complex corridors, scoping projects, preparing environmental documentation, planning and development initiatives, oversight of budget operations, and process-based management. He earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Minnesota and is a licensed professional engineer (PE).
