Tribal Transit Program Grant

The Federal Transit Administration announces the availability of funding to support planning, capital and, in limited circumstances, operating assistance for Tribal public transit services. Eligible projects include public transportation planning and capital expenses. Operating assistance will only be considered from Tribes without existing transit service, or those Tribes who received a Tribal Transit Program formula allocation of less than $20,000. Public transportation includes regular, continuing shared-ride surface transportation services open to the public or open to a segment of the public defined by age, disability, or low income.

Eligible Applicants: Federally recognized Tribes

Minimum/Maximum Grant Request: $25,000 cap for planning grants; no cap for capital grants

Match: 10 percent
