Craig Canfield Retirement
KLJ Engineering LLC (KLJ), announces the upcoming retirement of team member Craig Canfield, PE.
Canfield joined KLJ in 2005. He is a Professional Engineer in Montana with 40 years of experience and is a vital member of KLJ’s aviation team. During his tenure with KLJ, his expertise as a design engineer and project manager has been instrumental in driving the success of major projects at commercial service and general aviation airports across Montana. Canfield has worked on a variety of challenging and significant airport projects including the Sidney-Richland Regional Airport and the Baker Municipal Airport Runway Rehabilitation and Expansion Project.
Canfield has been an active and respected member of numerous professional organizations throughout his career, including the American Association of Airport Executives (Northwest Chapter), the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Consulting Engineers Council of Montana, the Montana Airport Management Association, the Montana Community Airport Association, and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. His dedication to the field of engineering has earned him several prestigious accolades and awards, including the Montana Society of Engineers Outstanding Young Engineer award in 1994 and the Billings Engineer Club Distinguished Service Award in 2010, and earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Colorado State University.
Canfield’s contributions have undoubtedly left a lasting impact on KLJ employees, projects, and many Montana communities.
Upon retiring he looks forward to golfing, skiing, and playing handball regularly; traveling in his Beechcraft Bonanza with his wife June; and having the time to serve on several community boards. As he steps into retirement, we celebrate his many accomplishments, the legacy he has created at KLJ, and the impact he made on our team, our projects, and the Montana communities we serve.
