KLJ Secures More Than $3.9 Million in Funding for Tribal Clients

KLJ Engineering LLC (KLJ), is proud to announce our team recently secured more than $3.9 million in Tribal grant funding through the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Tribal Transportation Program Safety Fund (TTPSF). TTPSF awards grant funding to federally recognized Indian Tribes to help address and assist Tribal communities with non-motorized transportation-related safety needs.  

The recently announced funding will aid seven KLJ tribal clients and support 11 projects in Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, and South Dakota including, 

  • Blackfeet – Road Safety Audit 
  • Crow Creek - BIA 4 Pathway Planning 
  • Flandreau Santee Sioux - Three Mile Road Pathway (Phase I) 
  • Oglala -Wanblee Pathway & Safety Enhancement 
  • Oglala Allen Pathway Extension & Safety Enhancement 
  • Oglala -Martin North Housing Pathway 
  • Sisseton-Wahpeton-BIA 11 Culvert Replacement 
  • Sisseton-Wahpeton-BIA 8 Resurfacing/Lighting 
  • Ute Mountain – First Transportation Safety Plan 
  • Rosebud Sioux- BIA 5 Intersection Study 
  • Rosebud Sioux-Rosebud BIA 1 Pedestrian Connectivity & Safety Improvement Study
