KLJ Welcomes Jake Neal as Survey Team Leader

KLJ Engineering LLC (KLJ) is pleased to welcome Jake Neal as Survey Team Leader in the firm’s Eagan, Minn. office. Neal joins KLJ’s survey team with extensive field and project management experience supporting public and private infrastructure projects across the Midwest. 

Neal brings more than two decades of experience in land surveying, construction staking, boundary and ALTA surveys, municipal survey work, and topographic data collection. Throughout his career, he has led field crews, managed project schedules, and coordinated with contractors, engineers, and clients to deliver accurate, timely survey data that supports project delivery. His background includes overseeing 15 to 20 concurrent projects, preparing proposals, and ensuring seamless communication between field and office teams. In addition, Neal is FAA Part 107 UAS remote pilot certified and has significant drone flight experience supporting survey and mapping efforts. 

As Survey Team Leader, Neal will oversee survey operations in the Eagan office, mentor field staff, and help strengthen coordination between survey, engineering and construction teams. His technical experience, safety-focused mindset, and commitment to quality will support KLJ’s mission of delivering reliable, community-focused solutions.
