We are proud to announce that KLJ has been awarded the 2020 Best of the Western Edge “Best Engineering Firm” by The Dickinson Press. This award is a Reader’s Choice Contest, voted on by the community.

KLJ received a Grand Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies of Minnesota (ACEC/MN) on January 23, 2020, for the work we performed on Minnesota Trunk Highway (TH) 149. The award, which was presented during the ACEC/MN 53rd annual awards banquet in Minneapolis, recognizes projects that exhibit excellence and ingenuity.

KLJ is proud to announce the hiring of four engineers in training.

Ryan Marquette, an engineer in our Fargo office, earned his professional engineering license (PE) in Minnesota.

Josh Brelje, Jacob Friesz, and Traci Sletmo recently earned their PEs in North Dakota; Eric Ler earned his PE in Montana; and Bryan Larson earned his PE in Minnesota.

KLJ’s Dana Foreman will be among the presenters at this year’s South Dakota Rural Water Annual Technical Conference next week at the Ramkota Hotel and Convention Center in Pierre, South Dakota. During his presentation on January 14 at 10:00 a.m., Foreman will address the complexities and methods of providing clean and affordable water for growing communities.

Engineer News-Record (ENR) Mountain States released this year’s winners of their annual Top Young Professionals competition yesterday. We are pleased to announce that KLJ’s Mike Bittner was among this year’s 20 regional honorees.

Robert Rapp has joined KLJ as an engineer in the St. Paul, Minnesota office. Devin Moerke has been working as an engineer in our Fargo, North Dakota office. Carol Sersland comes to the team as an environmental planner in the St. Paul office. Lupita Sosa joined KLJ as a project assistant in the Dickinson, North Dakota office. Maureen Brown comes to KLJ as a project assistant in the St. Paul office. Jon Morgenroth joined the team as an engineer in the Fargo office.

KLJ is proud to announce that our team has been awarded an American Council of Engineering Companies of Montana (ACEC/MT) award for work performed on the Glacier Rail Park in Kalispell.

A three-year- construction project recently came to an end when Bismarck Airport’s Runway 13-31 officially opened on October 19. Reconstruction of the 8,794-foot-long primary runway has been in the works since 2011.

The Montana History Foundation is offering grants of up to $10,000 for projects that help preserve and protect Montana’s history. The Department of Commerce Community Development Division will begin accepting Montana Main Street Program grant applications for the FY20 application cycle on November 15, 2019. The next Department of Commerce Big Sky Trust Fund job creation and planning grants are currently being accepted.
