Brandon Mattison earned his PE in South Dakota. He earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from South Dakota State University. Brandon specializes in Aviation in the Rapid City office.

Travis Jones earned his PE in Minnesota. He is now licensed in six states including Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, and Nebraska. Travis specializes in Oilfield Services in the Billings office. He earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Montana State University.

Duncan Parrish earned his professional engineering (PE) license in North Dakota. He earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Colorado State University. Duncan specializes in Oilfield Services in the Bismarck office.

KLJ was awarded the Occupational Safety Merit Award and the Commendation for Safety Award from the North Dakota Safety Council (NDSC) for the third consecutive year. The Occupational Safety Merit Award is presented to companies displaying an incidence rate equal to or less than the national average in their North American industrial Classification System (NAICS) code, for 2016.

Ryan Sundberg earned his professional engineering (PE) license in Minnesota. Sundberg earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from University of North Dakota. He works in the Surface Transportation group in the Grand Forks office.

Dan Richardson earned his floodplain manager certification from the Association of State Floodplain Managers. The certification program recognizes continuing education and professional development that enhances the knowledge and performance of local, state, federal and private-sector floodplain management professionals. Richardson works in the Municipal group in Great Falls. He earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Montana State University.

Lori Kraus was elected to a one-year term as President for the Central Dakota Safety Association (CDSA). The board and association members will meet once a month to learn about various safety topics and procedures. In this position, Kraus will arrange monthly meetings and coordinate marketing efforts including social media and public events. Kraus works in the Safety group in Bismarck.

Sandi Tabor was named to Prairie Business magazine’s Top 25 Women in Business list for 2017. The announcement was made in the regional magazine’s March issue.

KLJ was honored to receive North Dakota Ready Mix and Concrete Products Association's Gold Star Award for Dickinson’s Crooked Crane Trail project. KLJ worked with Winn Construction, Inc. and Dickinson Ready Mix Co. to design and build the 1.8 mile exercise and fitness trail along the north shoreline of Patterson Lake.

Matt Popa was elected to be a director on the board for the Structural Engineers Association of Montana (SEAMT). He will serve in this position for the next two years. Popa works in the Structural group in Bozeman.

KLJ was recognized by the Montana Contractors Association (MCA) with two awards acknowledging excellence in the Bridge and the Commercial Decorative categories.
