KLJ Engineering is proud to announce that Ryan Blumer has earned his Professional Engineer (PE) license in Montana.

KLJ is pleased to announce the promotion of Ben Dzioba to vice president of the company’s Construction Management Services department. Additionally, KLJ is pleased to welcome Mark Powalish to its Englewood, Colorado office in the Construction Management Services department. He will serve as the project management and project controls group manager.

KLJ is pleased to announce the promotion of Luke LaLiberty and Quentin Obrigewitsch. LaLiberty will serve as associate vice president of the company’s municipal practice and Obrigewitsch will serve as associate vice president of the company’s survey practice. In this new role, LaLiberty and Obrigewitsch will oversee the strategy around the named practice and associated service groups. Additionally, each will be responsible for the operational and financial performance of the practice and overall client management, ensuring projects are delivered effectively and efficiently.

In her new role, she will focus on collaborating on day-to-day HR operations and strategies, coaching and advising team members on HR matters, and helping to foster positive employer-employee relationships while supporting KLJ.

KLJ is proud to announce that Terri Anderson has been promoted to KLJ’s administrative services manager. In this role, she will develop and manage the team that provides administrative support to the company, while developing related policies and procedures for the company.

KLJ is proud to announce the addition of Kurt Zmich as the company’s Chief Operating (COO) Officer. Zmich brings more than 30 years of experience in environmental engineering, civil engineering, project management, and business leadership.

We are excited to announce Jess Karls, PE has been named to the list of Prairie Business Top 25 Women in Business for 2022. Karls is located in our West Fargo, ND office and currently serves as Associate Vice President of Transportation.

KLJ is proud to announce that Jess Karls will now serve as associate vice president of Transportation. In this role, she will oversee the client management of the company’s transportation services. Specifically, Karls will focus her efforts on helping support the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT), ensuring projects are delivered effectively and efficiently, utilizing all infrastructure-related services KLJ provides.

KLJ was awarded a “2022 Engineering Excellence Award” by The American Council of Engineering Companies of Minnesota (ACEC/MN) for our work on the Trunk Highway (TH) 22 Corridor Study project. TH 22 from St. Peter, Minn. to Mankato, Minn., is the highest-trafficked section of two-lane highway in Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) District 7, an area in the southwest corner of Minnesota encompassing roughly 10 percent of the state by land area and total roadway.

KLJ is pleased to announce the promotion of Michelle Miller to associate vice president of Human Resources (HR). Miller, who has worked for the company since 2010, has held various leadership roles throughout her career at KLJ, most recently serving as the company’s HR director.
